Denim Cut Off Shorts

Welcome to Swaggerista Sundays, where I highlight ladies with super style each week.  This week I would like to highlight ladies with short shorts. More specifically Demolished Daisy Dukes. Tattered n Torn denim shorts are certainly a must have item in every girls closet this summer. When I says every "girls" closet, what does this mean? Well, considering the fact that I just turned 40 years old yesterday, I can honestly say,  age isnt the issue with style. If you are 40 years old and keep your self in good shape then these shorts can definitely be worn. This same story goes for Men. I will be the first to admit that skinny jeans are cool, but not exactly suitable for my 40 year old body and/or style objectives. In other words, if ya got it, then flaunt it...no matter what your age. Enjoy!

Mens Style Inspiration

I consider myself a pretty casual guy. I live on the coast of Southern California, wear shorts and tee shirt most of the year, but I know when to spice things up. For instance, a night out with my lady or a night with some old friends. Maybe a job interview or a business meeting. These are just a few instances where I need to show off my style but not feel like a walking stiff. I grew up in the 70's, 80's and 90's, so I am considered Gen X, a bit of a rebel, punk rock and tattoos run in my blood, but I appreciate style like a good wine (when I used to drink). So here are a few inspirational items that I feel walk that line between gentleman and beach bum. Enjoy!

Wishful Wednesdays- Swimsuit Edition

Summer Swim Fashion

Summer is right around the corner ladies. There are some amazing new one piece and two piece swim suits hittin the stores. Do you go with the one piece and risk a bad tan? Do you go with the two piece and risk humiliation? I must be honest here and tell you, I am glad Im a guy. I really don't envy the fact that you ladies are required by the laws of fashion to fit into a couple tiny pieces of fabric each summer. Meanwhile, I get to slip on some cozy board shorts each summer and not have to worry about my thighs or cellulite. To make matters worse, I am posting a few editorial photos that I discovered at FashionCopious.typepad.com. Is This what is expected of you in 2013? They certainly are fun to look at, but how realistic are these suits? Let me know your thoughts.

Ok, ok so she married French Billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, that doesn't automatically qualify Salma Hayek as a Mommynista. There are plenty of wealthy mommies out there, that just can't get it right. At the same time, there are plenty of dirt poor mommies who can put together a fashion ensemble to die for. So I decided to do a little research on this Memorial Day 2012. Here are a few photos I uncovered of Salma Hayek with daughter Valentina , as well as pregnancy photos and pre-pregnany.

You decide if she is a true mommynista? 

I personally think she always has her outfits pretty well put together. I wouldn't exactly call her a trend setter though. Of course, Salma could get away with wearing almost anything , because her natural beauty makes up for any fashion weaknesses.

Mens Fashion

To all of our devoted readers, I'm sad to say that Throwback Thursdays shall be laid to rest. We are replacing our vintage, retro inspired fashion segment with a day dedicated to men.
